Hello and Welcome to my blog!
My name is Alex and I am currently a student at Baruch College taking BLP5100 class. The reason I created this blog is because our professor made me do so :)). However, I did try blogging before and I like it so I wasn't too opposed to the idea.
Besides school I also work for Search Marketing Standard magazine on a full time basis. My friends have started this specialized publication about 2 years ago and I got onboard as a salesperson about half a year after the start. My official title is the one of "Advertising Director". I guess in small companies like that fancy names are a neccesity to make people feel better about the fact that they get all of the additional responsibilies that they are relieved from in bigger companies. On the other hand, I do love my job because of the amount of responsibility, flexibility and creativity that it involves. I am convinced it will help me achieve excellence in a sales field.
But, enough about me. Let me clarify the name of the blog. In no way I am implying that I am an expert on management and will be expressing groundbreaking ideas on a daily basis (then again you never know!). I created this blog in order to write down my thoughts about Management in general as we progress throught the class and I surely believe this will take my management skills and knowledge to the next level. So there!
